Protest Police Harassment, Brutality & Attacks
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 4:00 - 6:00
At Zucotti Park -- the Site of Occupy Wall Street
With a march to One Police Plaza
NO TO THE NYPD CRACKDOWN ON WALL ST. PROTESTERS!
NO TO STOP-AND-FRISK IN BLACK & LATINO/A NEIGHBORHOODS!
NO TO SPYING AND HARASSMENT OF MUSLIM COMMUNITIES!
STOP THE RAIDS & DEPORTATIONS!
The NYPD is out of control!
Come out FRIDAY 4:00 at the Occupy Wall Street site, Broadway & Liberty, for a demonstration and march to One Police Plaza against police attacks, harassment, spying and raids!
Stop-and-frisk, harassment, marijuana busts – all directed disproportionately at African American and Latino youth – is a constant feature in neighborhoods where unemployment is the highest.
And when people come out to demand jobs and justice, or to protest the racist execution of Troy Davis, they get kicked, tripped, punched and pepper-sprayed.
The criminals on Wall Street go free and enjoy big bonuses while the NYPD focuses its resources on spying on and infiltrating mosques and all levels of the Muslim community.
This on top of the raids, detentions of Muslim and southeast Asian communities as well as Latino immigrant workers, with families torn apart and lives destroyed.
Whether it's police harassment, jails or the death penalty, we need to come together against the state's constant attacks.
