I was listening to this album earlier today and it put my mind back into thinking about the complete destruction of Iraqi culture. This song in particular is about the looting of Baghdad which resulted in the theft and destruction of priceless artifacts that date from the beginning of western culture, as Iraq was the birthplace of western civilization.

Who knows what countless treasures have been lost, or remain locked in the private homes of wealthy collectors.

What happens to a people who are removed from their history?
