Progressive America Rising prepares for 2012 elections
How ghastly but not surprising to read. PAR as a liberal electoral rationalization formation is deeply hurt that the mortal 'compromises' their side made on health care and the budget only inspire Republicans to bolder red-baiting.
All their polemics are couched in the fundamental insight that bad faith is the work of the Republicans. The 101% programmatic convergence of Democrats and Republicans we see [and have seen for so long] cannot be grasped, much less discussed. That might lead to a break with the golden calf, after all.
How bitter for those PAR cadre like Carl Davidson to end up in this electoral corner, carrying out and rationalizing a program that, in their youth, they would have spat upon.
