ATT T-Mobile Merger

What's behind the big merger?  The DoJ opposes it; so do "consumer advocates." 

 

Now Congressmen who probably know their G4 from their cdma are demanding the merger go through. 

 

I work with some pretty savvy people, and one of them explained the mortal stakes involved for ATT, and I think this sheds some light on the matter:

 

ATT needs Tmobile for there web expansion. ATT has maxed theirs out. Without Tmobile, ATT will not be able to expand to LTE or 4G.

 

Tmobile already has 4G so they would just have to intergrate both companies and since they're GSM [which works off satellite] it shouldnt be that hard.
