Philosophy yes, program no

A detour into philosophy and science

Audio: Badiou & Zizek at Jack Tilton Gallery

Slavoj Zizek and Alain Badiou at Jack Tilton Gallery

Slavoj Zizek and Alain Badiou at Jack Tilton Gallery

Our loud-mouthed mentor Slavoj Zizek and his best bud Alain Badiou were at Jack Tilton Gallery for an intimate event. It was organized to celebrate the 36th issue of Lacanian Ink, as far as I could tell. Editor Josefina Ayerza gave an introduction, of which I didn't understand a single word (except for "pussy"). Alain Badiou spoke like a serious man, and Zizek claimed that Kant wasn't a total idiot. Full audio of each talk below:

Part 1: Alain Badiou on the Communist Hypothesis (23:35) – mp3, 10mb

Part 2: Slavoj Zizek on Private and Public Use of Reason (37:02) – mp3, 17mb
